Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been positively impactful across all facets of our lives. Be it across industries, social media, healthcare, and that includes mental health, human resources, child and elderly care, all sizes of businesses, education, security, fashion and design, and so forth. Where is Artificial Intelligence Now?
Artificial intelligence is in almost all electronic devices, in one form or the other. Similarly, AI has been adopted in different ways across various sectors. Here are some examples of where AI has been flourishing:
- Social media monitoring, analyzing and then, predicting of user behaviors
- Smart assistants and agents
- Healthcare management and research
- Automated financial investing and operations
- Manufacturing robots, including 3D printing technologies
- Virtual travel, hotel, and entertainment booking agents
- Advertising and marketing chatbots
- Self-driving cars, and navigation apps are making life a little easier as well
- Trusted home assistants, social companions – Alexa and Siri
And for sure, this is just the beginning of the AI revolution.
Where is AI Going in the Future?
The future of Artificial Intelligence is going to be our new normal – Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and beyond is the New Normal. Some AI technologies are fully operational, with some challenges. But some other AI technologies need further finetuning and research. Based on the direction of technological and digital advancements here are a few examples of the future of AI in 2024 and beyond:
- Artificial Intelligence and Edge Computing: Further integration between AI and devices are expected to enable Quicker Decision Making and Reduce Latency between command and output.
- Ethics and Governance: There is an expectation there will be increased focus on ethical conduct, and regulations surrounding the use of AI in Finance, Healthcare, and so forth.
- Dangerous Jobs: Robots have been used to diffuse bombs. Drones used to identify who needs help after a hurricane, or after the collapse of a skyscraper building. Possibly, in the future risky jobs will be performed by machines operated by man from a distance. Rather than put the lives of people at risk.
- Healthcare Advancements: There is an expectation there will be further development in New Drug Discovery, Precision Medicine, Imaging, and Diagnostics.
- Cybersecurity Improvements: With continued development in integrating AI in Cybersecurity to facilitate improved threat detection, Cybercrime, Cyberterrorism, and Cyberattacks.

- Climate Change Solutions: In the future, AI could have important implications for scientific research to deal with Climate Change.

My Thoughts on Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is continuing to become a significant part of our every day lives. I believe as we march into the future with AI, more mind blowing technological advancements will follow. I am not sure if the progressive use of AI will completely be a positive force. Or, will AI constitute a nuisance as it gets more complex? I cannot say for sure. For now, I am able to type up decent articles with the real-time support of SEO and YOAST, which can be optimized with AI. Artificial intelligence has some challenges such as Alexus or Siri eavesdropping on your conversations. This could be seen as an infringement of your boundaries. So, judging by the Benefits and Challenges of AI as they are now. I am thinking this trend will persist in some ways as we march into the future, I am not sure if AI will progress as fast as might be predicted.
