Carnivore Diet – My Take!

The Carnivore Diet is a lifestyle that returns many people to homeostasis. It pays to be open to new ways. Explore and see for yourself! Finally, today is the day you can make changes in your life happen. 

Have you heard about the Carnivore Diet? This is a way of eating that promotes the proper functioning of your body. I am sharing this today as an expression of my excitement over finding this Lifestyle!

Carnivore Diet

The Carnivore Diet is a pattern of eating that includes, or rather allows the consumption of only animal products. Some of these animal products included in the Carnivore Diet are beef, eggs, poultry, pork, seafoods and dairy. Usually, the adherents of these eating patterns suggest the elimination of limiting dairy products because of the presence of Lactose, a type of sugar found in dairy products. Additionally, individuals who are allergic to milk, may be reacting to Casein protein in dairy products.

As the Carnivore Diet includes these foods mentioned above, it also excludes a variety of foods. Some of the foods excluded when you are on a Carnivore diet are grains, legumes, fruits, nuts, seeds, and vegetables including tubers.

When it comes to fluids. The proponents of the Carnivore Diet allows only drinking water and bone broth. And, it prohibits juices, teas and when the stricter version is adhered to, coffee is prohibited, as well. 

The Carnivore Diet is becoming very widely practiced. The question might be, Why?

Let’s go back in time to our ancestral relatives. Historical accounts show our ancestors thrived mainly on Fish and Meat. And, the high carbohydrate diets are a recent epidemic. These high carbohydrate diet are believed to be the cause of the high rate of chronic mental and physical health conditions.

Carnivore Diet

The proponents of the Carnivore Diet advocate for a complete elimination of carbs from the diet. While other ways of eating such as the Paleo and Keto diets advocated for reduced carbohydrates consumption.

Too much carbohydrates creeped into our diets since we stopped eating seasonally. And because of the engineering, and commercialization of our Food, we have abundance of once only seasonal foods, all year round in our grocery stores. Not only is the Vitality of non-seasonal foods compromised, but we consume too much of foods that breakdown into sugars. Too much Sugars in your body has the potential to inflame your body, which in turn is the foundation upon which modern day diseases thrives.

When you decide to adhere to this way of eating, you eliminate all plant foods. And foods to eat are reduced only animal and seafood products. In addition to a list of different meats both red and white meats, butter, bone marrow and tallow, ghee and lard are permitted.

As a matter of fact, to the adherents of this diet, eating Fatty cuts of meat is a must. Why? Because Good Fats are a source of Energy. Since carbs are eliminated, Fats become the energy source. I must say here that Fats are more sustainable as an energy source. 

Another very interesting aspect of the Carnivore Diet is there is no counting of calories, portion control, or frequency of eating in a day. In short, Eat as many times as you want daily.

Not only that, being on the Carnivore Diet is gradually resolving my endometriosis. There is the popular medical opinion that this dis-ease cannot be reversed. And, it sometimes begins from the onset of one’s menstrual period to menopause. In my experience, I am noticing that the pelvic pain during and in between my cycles are almost non-existent. These days, I am very happy because touch to my pelvic region is only slightly uncomfortable. Before now, the pelvic region was very painful to touch. One downside to you might be that I sometimes bleed very heavily between my cycles. However, I welcome those times because a healing crisis is likely occurring.
