Night Life at Fresno Downtown, CA!

My First Music Concert!

Night life at Fresno Downtown, CA is real. Finally, I attended a Music Concert by the phenomenal band – Air Supply at the Warnor Theater! I live in Fresno, California (CA). And, I have lived here for more that 10 years. Fresno is located in the Central Region of CA. I have always believed Fresno is strategically located because it is approximately a radius of two to four hours by car to get to many Fun places in this State. Ironically, I have often thought of Fresno as Rustic, a town without Entertainment. Additionally, I have been very busy with schooling and developing my professional career. So, I haven’t had a lot of time to drive long distances from Fresno to anywhere for one, or two nights of Relaxation and Fun. Therefore, I went nowhere.

Night life at Fresno Downtown

As the years passed by, I have heard people talk about going to multiple shows in Fresno. And, many people have talked highly about the Night Life in downtown Fresno. However, reading about Fresno as the “Headquarters of Meth production” had kept me away from downtown Fresno for years. I knew I had to make some changes, but how?

Night Life in Fresno – My take

Honestly, prior to yesterday I didn’t really think about the night life in Fresno. Simply, I have never had a Night life since I arrived in Fresno, CA. But that changed yesterday when I gave my self permission to accept my friend’s invitation to attend a Musical Concert about two, or three weeks ago. I am happy I went to the Concert. Because, first and foremost, it was a quick and easy drive getting to the venue. Parking was a breeze. I hadn’t anticipated we would find parking space so easily.

There were many people cued up on a line at the entrance of the theater. Because my friend had VIP tickets, we got our tickets quickly and got inside the building without hassles, I saw no drug users loitering the streets. It was quite a lovely scene. I could almost see the hustle and bustle at day time during the week. But, downtown Fresno was quiet. The place looked peaceful!

The Invitation to the Concert – There will be Night Life at Fresno Downtown

My friend, Colleen who is also my neighbor invited me to go to a concert with her on Friday at 7:20pm. I haven’t told you, yet. But, I have a crazy work schedule. I work from 8am to 9:30pm every day of the week. Crazy isn’t it? I really have to work hard to create balance between Resting and Moving, between Doing and Being. You see currently, I am trading my time for money. I need to learn how to trade Actions for money. I need to figure out how to create passive income.

So, I can reduce my hours pf work, and have more time to Relax, seek out Entertainment and just BE! Accepting Colleen’s invitation and then, not cancelling just before the concert was tug of war, which I had within me until one day before the concert. The wild horses within me became quiet. They stopped stumping around because I had decided to attend the Concert.

The Crowd and Wearing my Face Mask – Feeling Odd

Night life at Fresno Downtown

Upon locating Warnor Theater where the concert was going to play, I was alarmed by the number of people I saw. And, nobody and I mean nobody was wearing a Face Mask. By the time my friend and I got into the building my face mask came on. I did not feel comfortable being so close to so many people without any form of protection.

I told myself, “you know, I’m not in the mood to get sick, even if asymptomatic, or just slightly sick…” It felt odd to be the only one in sight wearing a Face Mask. However, I did not waste my energy wondering what others were thinking, or feeling about me – the Odd Ball! Rather, I felt safe because I knew it will be highly unlikely I will be leaving the theater with any Viral Infection – albeit, even the Common Cold. As, I am typing along, I feel very fine.

At the Bar for Drinks

Inside the Warnor Theater, one of the ushers told Colleen and I that they had 3 bars. Two bars were situated downstairs while one was situated upstairs. My friend, Colleen wanted I drink. You see, I do not drink, but I do belong to an exclusive wine club. I told my friend a little about my wine club, especially the fact that members are trained on becoming knowledgeable about Fine Wines and also, about pairing Food and Fine Wines. It was interesting to observe her reactions as I told her about my recent exploits. I have been so busy that we have not met up as often as we used to. She was not updated with what I’ve been doing, or not doing, lately. The band started playing music so we went into the theater to locate our seats. I sat down as comfortably as possible to Enjoy the show.

Two Bands – How I Felt about Them

There were 2 male bands that played. I sat through the first one. Needless to say, I didn’t enjoy this band. May be because the music was not Soulful enough for me. Air Supply from Australia was the second band to paly. This second band was also an all male band – older men. One of the Leaders of the band – Russell Graham, I believe must be in his 70s.

Graham told a story about how he met Hitchcock about 50 years ago. This is how I have estimated Graham’s age. His friend, also named Russell, Russell Hitchcock was the lead vocalist – very clear and nicely toned voice. Air Supply’s songs were not quite as soulful, as I usually would prefer, but close enough for me. I enjoyed listening, and I often swayed and recorder their performances on my phone. If I can figure out how to, I shall share some of my pictures and videos on this page.

The Street Party after the Concert

After about 3 hours, Colleen and I left the the theater. The Show ended. So, we came out and there was Soul music playing in the horizon across the street. The voice and music called out to me. So what did I do? I crossed the street, Colleen was interested as well. The Musician was give some requests by those standing around. People were dancing and having a good time. This was a Party after the Concert. Colleen and I spent about 30 to 45 minutes Dancing on the Street in downtown Fresno, CA.

I could not believe I had so much Fun. Meanwhile as I was dancing on the Streets of downtown Fresno, Colleen was filming me. I bet you will be bombed out like I was when I asked Colleen to forward the video to me so I can show you my dance moves. Colleen somehow did not have the video. We had a good laugh. What was she filming then? Oh well, we still had a good time. I was now thinking about how to go about seeking out places of interest I could explore locally, and travel to, every now and then throughout the year. My dear friend and I tipped the musician some money for his Street Party performance, and we went on our jolly way.

Night life at Fresno Downtown

Going Home after an Exciting Night Out at Fresno Downtown.

It was an enjoyable Night life at Fresno Downtown. And, Colleen’s car was safe. We were both happy about coming to the concert. The first band was a bit of a disappointment, but Air Supply and the Street Party evened out everything for me. I really did enjoy my evening and night. I shall be doing this again soon. By the way, we also got home safely. If you live in Fresno, CA or somewhere close by, check out the Warnor Theater and their Shows. It was worth it, Absolutely!
