Bristol Hotel Downtown Zurich is Centrally located. A walking distance to the Bahnhof, Airport, Restaurants and mostly Everything else. It is a 3 star Hotel located at Stampfenbachstrasse 34, Zürich. I travelled to Zurich the Metropolitan City in March 2023. I was there with my mother to visit Family after completing a professional workshop. As typical of most European countries, there are Trams for transportation all within and around Zurich Metropolises. You do not need to Own a car. This is one aspect of life in Zurich, I really liked. You see, I have two set of maternal cousins, and one nephew who school, live and work in Zurich and its environs. Its been a minute, or maybe more appropriately, its been a long long time I saw my Cousins and Nephew.

Food, Cleanliness and Noise at Bristol Hotel

Bristol Hotel Downtown Zurich serves breakfast. They had yogurt, bread, cereals, butter, coffee, teas, drinking water, boiled eggs and so forth. Nothing fancy, but ok. I typically had eggs and yogurt. This Hotel was kept really Clean during our Stay. We spent five days at Bristol Hotel. Before I forget, you can use their refrigerator/freezer to store some of your personal food items. I had bought Bio (Organic) Butter, which I was able to keep Frozen in their Fridge/Freezer. That was very kind of the Front desk Staff for accommodating my needs.

As for the Noise Level, I was surprised, when I first went downstairs for breakfast, at the number people in the dining room. There were many people lodging in the Hotel. But, I heard only my mom and I talking the whole time we were there. No one else’s voice was heard. The Staff at Bristol Hotel were very friendly and courteous. Just like at the the staff at the Beaulac in Neuchatel. In Zurich, restaurants have a wide price range. Not only that, there is a large variety of Cuisines. That we enjoyed completely.

Visiting Family

Our trip to Switzerland was a cross between Business, because I attended a Professional Workshop, and Holidaying, because our trip was primarily a vacation for my Mother. And, some down time for me as well. Before we arrived in Zurich we planned to see and spend some quality time with All Our Relatives, before we leave Switzerland back to the United States (US). Thank goodness they could take some time off their busy schedules. Our different meetups we family turned out to be very Heartwarming, Enjoyable and Satisfyingly, but also Hectic. We ate. We drank and We Celebrated each other. And. our mode of transportation was either by Tram or Train. Our Relatives also gave us rides back to our Hotel. That was very kind of them.

The Bahnhof (Train Station)

The Bahnhof (Train Station) is a walking distance from Bristol Hotel. I am thinking it is a five minute walk, maximum. Before you walk across the street to the Train Station there is Hub where almost every City Tram at one time, or the other during the Day, or Night picks up Passengers. Moving around the city is very stress free, especially if you stay at Bristol Hotel. So, from the Bahnhof you can get to all Cities and Towns in Switzerland. That is how we travelled to visit my Spiritual Parents in Flawil, St Gallen. That Train Ride was a very pleasant one. Super easy to buy your Train Ticket at the Train Station. And, most of the vendors at the Train Station are able to communicate in the English Language.

Ok, I couldn’t stop myself from giving you this information. So, at the Main Train Station, just around the corner from where Train Tickets are bought, is a Vendor. What does he sell? Bratwurst. When you get to Zurich, you have to try them. Delicious! To say the least. Do not Forget to try these!

Airport in Zurich

The Zurich Airport is right around the corner from the Train Station and Bristol Hotel. If you are traveling Light, you can actually walk to the Airport through the Train Station. Really very Convenient. Since I had my mother with me, a taxis took us to the airport the day we were departing from der Schweiz (Switzerland). As I left Switzerland, I felt Homesick while still in the Air. We arrived safely in the US, and we flew to our respective states of residence.
