Crispy Chicken Snack

Crispy Chicken Snack is my go to snack. Some times I find myself carving it. It is Crunchy and Tasty. Absolutely Amazing. snack. I adopted the Carnivore – no Carb way of eating approximately two years ago. It will be exactly two year in October of this year. There are reasons why I embraced this nutritional lifestyle. But, I am not going to talk about this on this page. Maybe, I’d get around to chronicling my Nutrition and Health journey someday. At this time, I am going to describe myself as being Stricter than most others, who eat similarly. My decision to be Stricter, rather than Lenient has been dependent on my listening to the needs of my body. There are some animal products including Seafoods, Eggs and Dairy products, my body has carefully allowed me to Include, or Exclude. Today, I have a green light on Chicken. Yet, Chicken was excluded from my list of Foods to eat for a long time.

Crispy Chicken Snack is Acceptable Now

When I started the Carnivore diet, my body didn’t like eggs, butter, cheese, yogurt, chicken and pork meat. I am a little skeptical about including too much Seafood in my diet because of the deplorable state of our Fishing Waters, and even our Oceans, globally. About nine months into my no Carb diet, I realized my body could tolerate Chicken, and Eggs. I was elated. This meant I could include more variety into my diet.

Preferred Type of Chicken

Primarily, I eat Eggs from chickens, and Chickens that are Pasture and Organically raised. About 10 months ago, I stopped storing my eggs in the fridge because they lose their vitality. So, my one to two days old Eggs live on my kitchen counter until I go through all of them. Because my eggs are very Fresh, they remain Viable for a long time. Which allows me eat my Egg Yolks raw, especially when used as a dip for my Crispy Chicken Snack, and Steak meals.

The Recipe for my Crispy Chicken Snack

Ingredients

  • Pasture and Organically raised Frozen Chicken: Usually, I buy a Whole frozen Chicken from the grocery store. Most of these stores do carry frozen Chicken Parts – wings, breasts, and thighs, or Wholes.

  • Seasoning: Typically because I am on a stricter no Carb diet, I rarely use herbs, or any other kinds of condiments. My go to is Salt. This, I usually add much later in the cooking process. If you want, you can add some Cayenne pepper.

  • Two Eggs: Two eggs from pasture and organically raised Chicken is another ingredient needed.

  • Some Fine Wine to pair with your Crispy Chicken Snack

Equipment Required

  • Oven: This is needed to Roast or Bake the Chicken.

  • Air Fryer: This you will need to finish up your snack.

How to Cook the Crispy Chicken Snack

  • If your Chicken is frozen, let it thaw.

  • After your Chicken is thawed, dial your oven temperature to between 280 and 320 degrees F. I tend to go for the lower temperatures. Because its allows the Chicken Flesh and Skin cook very slowly and softens them, nicely. Preheat your oven.

  • While Preheating your oven, you can rub some salt and pepper on your Chicken Parts, or Whole.

  • Place the Chicken in Pan, preferably glass pan in your oven to bake, or roast for approximately two hours. Check after one hour to determine when to check again, as well as to see how far along your baking or roasting gone.

  • Leave in the oven, until it browns the way you like it. Do not leave the Chicken in the oven for too long. You do not want the Chicken getting too dry. Rather, you want the Chicken Skin and Flesh, moist and tender.

  • Cut the Chicken into small to medium pieces if you roasted or baked a whole Chicken. Otherwise, if you baked or roasted chicken parts you can leave as is.

  • Take some pieces of Chicken. As many as you wish and put in your air fryer.

  • Select the air fryer mode, adjust temperature to 400 degrees F. And set time to 15 minutes only.

  • While you wait for the air fryer, break two eggs or more if you want. Drain out the white and keep the yolks in a little ice cream bowl. And, you could also open you bottle of Fine Wine. You may want to aerate it.

  • Walk away and come when you hear your air fryer beep, which signals the air frying is done.

How to Serve your Crispy Chicken Snack

Pairing the Crispy Chicken Snack with Fine Wine

  • You can pair your Crispy Chicken Snack with Fine Wine. The Fine Wine can be Red wine such as Ricord Merlot, or you can also try the Tanya Ricord Pinot Grigio, which is White Fine Wine. Both wines pair well with chicken. So, it really boils down to preference and mood.

Using Raw Egg Yolks as a Dip

  • The Crispy Chicken Snack can be served with two or more raw yolks. Use as a dip. It is quite delicious and nutritious.

  • You can also just eat by itself. Usually it is here that I sprinkle salt on my skin. Oh my! It tastes so good.

Enjoy!!
